Having been in business in the East Village for almost 150 years, you’d think apothecary brand Kiehl’s might bristle against the tide of modernity, but this is not the case. The newly-launched “Oil Eliminator” collection, featuring a face wash, toner and “anti-shine” moisturizer utilize Aerolite; an extremely lightweight material most often used as insulating by NASA.
Aerolite is 99.98% air by volume and absorbs more than four times its weight in oil. Its application in cosmetics comes after substantial research by the Kiehl’s skincare lab to develop products that disperse both oil and sweat away from the skin. You can shop the new Oil Eliminator collection now at Kiehl’s.
