We could kill an entire afternoon watching vintage commercials like this one from Gillette. Certainly, most men well into their shaving years will remember the jingle in this ad – I was 5 at the time, & recall it vividly – and appreciate the kind of ritual shaving used to represent in advertising over decades passed. Maybe it’s just us, but we’d love for razor brands to stop one-upping each other with ‘challenges’ & ‘tests’, and just get back to the basics of what it means to become a man.
